About Us
Green Earth Tennis (GET) is a nonprofit organization based in Katy, Texas who believes that when everybody collectively does little things to improve the environment, it will result in a huge enhancement to the surrounding ecosystem. The Green Earth Tennis tournaments are a place for people to not only get physical exercise and socialize, but also an opportunity to learn about the contemporary environmental situation. The proceeds from the draw are split between prize money and environmentally conscious activities, such as planting trees and donating to organizations.

Our Goal
Green Earth Tennis hopes to kill two birds with one stone by growing the tennis community while spreading awareness about the current environmental situation unfolding around us. We hope our members and students can enjoy everything tennis has to offer and still consciously improve the one and only ecosystem we will spend our whole lives in.
Why should we be concerned?
Planet Earth is 4.5 billion years old; mankind - about 140,000 years old. To put that in perspective, if you condense the earth's life span into twenty four hours, humans have been around for three seconds. In only three seconds look what we've done. Yes, we've split the atom, yes, we've build clever machines that navigate the universe in search of new homes, but at the same time those atoms we've split have created nuclear warfare. At a record pace we've increase the rate of extinction of animals by one thousand times the normal rate. What a feat. In the next ten to one hundred years every beloved character in every childrens book is predicted to go extinct. Lions, tigers, gorillas, elephants and polar bears, all gone in three seconds. The real problem is us, so it's up to you to make the effort because time is of the essence. and only together can we make it to the fourth second.
